“Two-year warranty” sounds simple. It isn’t — every warranty is a list of what’s covered and, more importantly, what’s not. And with a machine that weighs 135 kg, the part that matters most isn’t even the length of the warranty. It’s what happens when something actually goes wrong. Here’s our policy written out properly, exclusions…
Weld gets weak in the afternoon. Energy reads fine on the screen but the pulses barely bite. You check the settings, you check the lamp — and then you notice the optics are fogged, like a cold drink can sweating on a hot day. Before you panic and call it a breakdown: this is condensation,…
Your welder ran fine all week. Now it trips the breaker the moment you switch it on, and the customer’s ring is half done on the bench. Before you blame the machine — 9 times out of 10 this is your power, not the welder. Here’s the 10-minute check that finds out which one you’re…
The xenon lamp is the one real consumable on a YAG laser welder — and the one thing buyers ask about with more dread than it deserves. “How often will I be replacing it, and what does that cost me?” Fair question. Here’s the honest version: it’s a wearing part, not a breakdown. It gives…
A titanium frame welds clean and silver-white — until it suddenly isn’t. One pulse too long without gas and the weld goes blue, then grey, and you’re grinding it back and starting again. Here’s the thing most people get wrong: the blue isn’t a heat problem. It’s an oxygen problem. Fix the gas timing and…
Every jeweler who buys a laser welder asks the same thing before the first job: “Is it safe to weld near the gemstone?” Fair question — you don’t melt a customer’s emerald to fix a prong. The honest answer: a pulse welder is far safer than a torch around gemstones, because the heat goes into…
Short answer: yes, a laser welder can weld silver — but silver is the honest test of a machine. It reflects most of the light back until it actually melts, so a weak pulse just skates off the surface and leaves a mess. If a machine handles silver cleanly, it’ll handle everything else on your…
Ask ten salesmen “how many watts is it” and they’ll all answer proudly. Then ask them “how many joules per pulse” and watch the room go quiet. Most buyers compare laser welders by wattage — which is a bit like comparing cars by the size of the fuel tank. Here’s what each number actually does,…
So you’re buying a jewelry laser welder — first one, or an upgrade. Every brochure says “200W” and shows a shiny cabinet. Here’s what actually separates a machine that earns its place on the bench from one that gathers dust: the pulse energy, the cooling, and what happens after you pay. Most buyers compare the…
